Regarding to the  installation of household plumbing and roof drainage that have been built on the banks of the Manzanares River, a new by-pass collector of Abroñigales is building. This infrastructure allows to divert and transport sewage that run through the current collectors of the urban watershed Abroñigales, thereby improving the sewerage system of the entire area east of the city of Madrid.
Storm water sewer starts from the M-30 and ends at the Tormentas Pond of Abroñigales,  located near Mercamadrid and with a storage capacity of 200,000 cubic meters.
Storm water sewer has been constructed by TBM excavation, forming a circular section of diameter 6.70 meters and a length of 4,800 meters.
