The new transport interchange is now in use for 200,000 passengers per day.

The new Transport interchange to surface in the Plaza de Castilla (Madrid) daily provides service to 270,000 users and primarily serves the EMT (Transport network of Madrid), which has eleven basins by circulating 21 lines. From 2005 it undertook the creation of a new underground terminal with 3 levels by the concession company Dragados, SA and Armatek involved in the supply and assembly on site reinforcements. Besides establishing a tunnel under the Paseo de la Castellana of about 1 km bus links directly with the A-1. In February 2008 the terminal came into service progressively incorporating underground trunk lines to June 2008, just moving to the interchange subway lines and begin the reform of the old terminal area. This reform ended with the inauguration of the new docks area (Island 4) in November 2009.
